Our beliefs
Jesus is our foundation.
Our faith begins with Jesus Christ. These convictions express how we understand His Word and seek to follow Him together.
01
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is our foundation, our Savior, and the Head of His Church. He is fully God and fully man. He lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, reigns as Lord, and will return. Our faith and our life together are built on Him.
Read in Scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:11; Colossians 1:15–20 · NKJV
02
The living God
We believe in one God, eternally Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He created us, loves us, and calls us to be reconciled to Him through Jesus Christ. We worship Him and seek to know Him as He reveals Himself in His Word.
Read in Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14 · NKJV
03
His Word
The Holy Scriptures are the inspired written Word of God and the final authority for the faith and life of the church. Every teaching, tradition, experience, and practice must be tested by Scripture.
Read in Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; Acts 17:11; John 17:17 · NKJV
04
Salvation through Christ
Salvation is God’s gift of grace, accomplished through the death and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. God calls sinners to repent and believe the gospel. Those who trust in Christ are forgiven, justified, born again, reconciled to God, and given the Holy Spirit. Salvation cannot be earned by works.
Read in Scripture: Ephesians 2:8–10; Romans 3:21–28; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 · NKJV
05
A life changed by Jesus
Grace does not leave us unchanged. God calls His people to holiness, obedience, love, mercy, purity, and Christlike character. Sanctification is the continuing work of the Holy Spirit as believers surrender themselves to God, put sin to death, and grow in grace.
Read in Scripture: Romans 12:1–2; Galatians 5:16–25; 1 Peter 1:15–16 · NKJV
06
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is divine and personal. He convicts, gives new birth, indwells every believer, produces holy character, empowers witness, and gives spiritual gifts for the building up of the church. We believe the gifts of the Spirit continue today and must operate according to Scripture and in good order. No single gift is required as proof that a believer has received the Holy Spirit.
Read in Scripture: John 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–13; 1 Corinthians 14:26–33 · NKJV
07
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We practice believer’s baptism by immersion following personal repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism publicly identifies the believer with Christ and His people. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper regularly as a remembrance and proclamation of Christ’s sacrificial death. Neither ordinance earns salvation.
Read in Scripture: Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 6:3–4; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26 · NKJV
08
The Church
All who belong to Christ form His one body. The local church gathers for teaching, fellowship, prayer, the Lord’s Supper, worship, mutual care, discipline, and mission. Jesus Christ is the Head of the church, and qualified elders shepherd the congregation under the authority of Scripture.
Read in Scripture: Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 1:22–23; 1 Peter 5:1–4 · NKJV
09
Marriage and holy living
We believe God designed marriage as a covenant union of one man and one woman and intends sexual intimacy for that marriage. Christians are called to honor God with their bodies, remain faithful in marriage or sexually pure while unmarried, and speak biblical truth with compassion and grace.
Read in Scripture: Genesis 2:18–25; Matthew 19:4–6; 1 Corinthians 6:9–20 · NKJV
10
Christ’s return and eternal life
Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. The dead will be raised, every person will face judgment, the redeemed will enter everlasting life with God, and the unrepentant will face everlasting punishment. God will finally make all things new.
Read in Scripture: Acts 1:9–11; John 5:28–29; Revelation 21:1–5 · NKJV
