Leadership
Jesus leads His church.
We serve Him.
Christ is the Head of the church. Every human leader is called to serve under His authority, follow His Word, and care for His people.

Serving, shepherding, and accountability
Church leadership is a responsibility to serve. Leaders are called to teach Scripture faithfully, care for people, model a holy life, and remain accountable to Christ.
As CFC grows, the aim is to be served by a plurality of biblically qualified elders, with appropriate congregational participation and accountability.
A local church under Christ
CFC has no governing denomination, headquarters, bishop, or outside church authority. Jesus Christ is the Head of His church. Human leaders serve under Him, accountable to Scripture and responsible to care for His people.
Convictions without unnecessary division
Our leadership follows the biblical pattern of qualified men serving as elders while recognizing and encouraging the substantial ministry of women in the life of the church. Women may serve, teach, minister, and use their gifts under the oversight of the church’s elders. The governing office of elder is reserved for qualified men.
We recognize that faithful Christians and churches understand this secondary issue differently. It is not a test of Christian fellowship. Those entrusted with leadership and teaching at CFC are simply expected to serve within the convictions of the church and help preserve its unity.
